Agraya Integrity Program
Promoting transparency in all aspects of certification
The Agraya Integrity Program was founded in 2008 as the first of its kind in food certification. Designed to ensure the consistent delivery and implementation of GLOBALG.A.P. standards worldwide, the program monitors and assesses the key aspects of the third-party certification process.
Program activities include assessing the competence and performance of our certification body (CB) network, investigating complaints and maximum residue limit incidents, and protecting the GLOBALG.A.P. and GGN label brands in the market.
The program acts as a feedback mechanism that serves the continuous improvement of our operations and seeks to maintain stakeholder trust, with certification active in more than 135 countries globally.
Agraya Integrity Program activities
Accountability before and after the audit
The program has three key focus areas. Full information about Integrity Program activities can be found in the 2025 Integrity Report.
CB training and approval
Agraya GmbH only signs license and certification agreements with CBs that successfully pass our internal approval process, which includes requirements for accreditation and training before certificates can be issued. This contributes to a high level of standardized quality and the integrity of CB procedures. We conduct regular trainings for a range of CB and auditor functions to maintain excellence in the technical delivery of our solutions.
Certification integrity assessments
In addition to supervision by their accreditation bodies according to the international standard for product certification (ISO/IEC 17065), all approved CBs are monitored by our dedicated team of expert integrity assessors. This is achieved through both on-site and off-site integrity assessments that can be targeted, random, or based on the referral of the Integrity Surveillance Committee (ISC). Key performance indicators have been in place since 2017 to measure CB performance and present the information to the public.
Complaint management
Complaints received by Agraya GmbH are recorded, analyzed, and investigated by complaint management assessors. This includes reports regarding the integrity, compliance, or quality of a GLOBALG.A.P. certification process, a product originating from a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process, an approved CB, trademark/claim use, or operational handling. All complaints are investigated according to dedicated complaint management and maximum residue limit (MRL) complaint management processes.

Why do we have an integrity program?
With almost 200,000 producers with certified production processes around the world, Agraya is determined to uphold the levels of excellence and transparency that are at the heart of what we do. The oversight provided by the Agraya Integrity Program highlights our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and accountability.
- For producers, the Agraya Integrity Program contributes to a fair audit process by monitoring and evaluating CB competence in the field. It ensures that CBs conduct their audits in line with GLOBALG.A.P. normative documents and verifies that the same criteria and quality standards are used consistently and impartially.
- For retailers, the Agraya Integrity Program builds trust in the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system and mitigates reputational risk by providing transparency on certificate validity, investigating complaints, and monitoring certification claims. For quality assurance, both targeted and random CB office and producer assessments are conducted each year.
- For CBs, the Agraya Integrity Program monitors an entire range of processes, from auditor training requirements to the consistent implementation of GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons at farm level.
