The 2026 Changemaker Awards received more than 80 applications from across 40 countries. A huge thank you to everyone who applied this year!
Only nine could go forward as finalists, and after a careful review, our international jury has selected the finalists. There are three finalists in each of the three categories – Innovation, Community Impact, and Sustainability.
In recognition of the UN International Year of the Woman Farmer, the 2026 Changemaker Awards spotlights the essential contributions that advance women’s role in agrifood systems. For generations, women have been essential to growing the world’s food. Today, they make up about 41% of the global agrifood workforce, yet continue to face structural barriers in areas such as finance, leadership, and education. For example, in 85% of countries with available data, women still don’t have ownership or tenure rights over the land they farm. Closing that gap could nearly add USD 1 trillion to the global economy, according to FAO estimates.
These shortlisted finalists are proof that this change is underway.

Announcing the winners at AGRAYA SUMMIT 2026
All finalists will join us on stage at SUMMIT 2026 in Bologna, Italy on 28 October 2026, where the winner in each category will be announced.
