Academy launches redesigned learning platform for public learners and Registered Trainers

2 min read

On 8 June 2026, the Academy will launch a new interface for both the public Academy platform and the Registered Trainer branch, introducing a more modern and guided learning experience for our users globally. At this stage, the CB Academy platform is not affected.

Officially founded in 2012, the Academy is a key pillar of our capacity-building activities, supporting the global adoption of safer and more sustainable farming practices through targeted, science-based training programs. Over the years, learners around the world have used the platform to access expert-led courses, practical training materials, and flexible learning opportunities across multiple languages and formats.

A more guided and connected learning experience

The updated interface has been designed to make learning more intuitive, connected, and user-friendly. One of the biggest changes is the introduction of learning paths, which will replace individual course listings. Instead of navigating through separate courses without a clear starting point, learners will now follow structured and guided learning journeys.

Learning paths are designed to create a more progressive experience by helping users understand each step within their course, reducing uncertainty, and supporting clearer progression throughout the learning process.

The new interface also introduces additional tools to support engagement and usability, including:

  • Discussions where learners can ask questions, exchange insights, and interact with the wider learning community
  • Improved navigation and progress tracking
  • A cleaner and more modern interface, enabling faster rollout of future features and improvements

To support the transition, user guides in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese will be available within the new interface under the ‘My training’ section.

Importantly, the learning progress of all currently enrolled learners will remain unaffected during the transition. Existing course progress and learning records will be preserved as part of the platform update.

The Academy will continue offering high-quality training delivered by experienced trainers, with small group sizes, flexible course formats, supplemental learning materials, and certificates issued upon course completion.

We look forward to welcoming learners to the new platform experience from 8 June 2026.
