The Changemaker Awards return in 2026 for a second edition, continuing to spotlight individuals and organizations driving positive transformation in farming worldwide. Following the success of their debut at the GLOBALG.A.P. SUMMIT 2024, the awards once again honor outstanding initiatives that inspire change, foster sustainability, and empower communities.
In 2026, the awards proudly align with the UN International Year of the Woman Farmer, celebrating innovations and initiatives that strengthen the role of women in agriculture and contribute to more inclusive and resilient systems.
Three Award Categories
The 2026 Changemaker Award will recognize excellence in three distinct areas:
Changemaker Award for Innovation
Recognizing innovations that tangibly improve women’s ability to farm more effectively, such as tools, apps, machines, or on-farm technologies that enhance productivity and sustainability.
Changemaker Award for Community Impact
Celebrating initiatives that empower women, foster inclusivity, and build fair, resilient farming systems.
Changemaker Award for Sustainability
Recognizing those advancing climate-smart practices and systemic change toward sustainable food and farming systems.
Key dates and application process
Applications open from 15 January to 15 May 2026.
Shortlisted participants will receive a free SUMMIT ticket and promotion across all our channels, including website, newsletter, and social media. The winners will be announced live during the AGRAYA SUMMIT 2026, taking place in Bologna, Italy, in October.
The awards are open to applicants (individuals and organizations) from any location, sector, age group, or gender, with a particular focus on initiatives that promote women in agriculture. Winners will be selected by an expert jury, with further details on evaluation criteria to be announced soon.
